Building Industry Technology Academy
The Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA) pathway prepares students for careers in construction and the skilled trades through hands-on learning and real-world industry practices. Students learn how buildings are planned, constructed, and maintained while developing practical skills used in residential and commercial construction.
Instruction focuses on construction safety, tool usage, building materials, blueprint reading, and project planning. Students gain experience working on construction projects while learning industry standards, teamwork, and professional work habits expected on job sites.
This pathway supports preparation for careers in construction and skilled trades and provides a strong foundation for apprenticeships, trade school programs, or continued education in construction management or engineering fields. Students may also have opportunities to prepare for industry-recognized safety or trade-related certifications.
