*Please see your school’s North Orange County ROP counselor to pre-register.
Please note the following:
-
- Submitting a pre-registration request to your ROP Counselor does not guarantee enrollment into the course.
- ROP may cancel a course offering at any time.
- ROP reports the attendance hours and final grades to the student’s high school. The high school determines and awards transcript credit for students based on this information.
- ROP reserves the right to dismiss students from the course offering due to excessive absences, excessive tardiness, and other misbehavior.
- ROP updates this list of course offerings frequently due to changes resulting from funding, staffing, and student demand.
Students need to check www.nocrop.org at least a week prior to the class start date in case there are any changes in dates, times, locations, instructors, or cancelations.
For Online Courses: You will receive an email notification directly from the instructor regarding access to the class.
Student Selection and Enrollment Priority:
To ensure equitable access to our Regional after-school classes, student enrollment is prioritized based on specific program needs. First priority is given to students whose comprehensive high school does not offer the desired CTE class or pathway during the regular bell schedule and who need these courses to pursue their career interest. We also prioritize placing students in classes that align with their grade level to support timely progression and completion of their pathway before graduation. After these priority placements are made, any remaining seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date and time students submit their registration. This process ensures transparency and fairness for students, parents, and counselors seeking placement in our high-demand programs.

Priority Level |
Description |
Example Scenario |
|
Priority 1: Access Need |
Students whose home high school does not offer the desired CTE class or pathway during the regular bell schedule. These students receive first priority for enrollment. |
A 10th-grade student at School A wants “Medical Careers,” but the course is not offered at their school. They receive first consideration for enrollment. |
|
Priority 2: Grade-Appropriate Placement for Pathway Completion |
Students are placed in classes that align with their grade level so they have a realistic opportunity to complete the full pathway sequence during high school. Placement in Concentrator (Level 2) and Capstone (Level 3) courses requires completion of all prerequisite classes with a grade of C or better. |
10th-grade student: Placed in Intro/Level 1 of a three-year pathway. 11th-grade student: Placed in the Concentrator/Level 2 course if they passed the Intro course with a C or better. 12th-grade student: Placed in the Capstone/Level 3 course only if they completed all prior levels with a C or better. |
|
Priority 3: First Come, First Served |
After priorities 1 and 2 are fulfilled, any remaining seats are offered based on registration timestamp. Earlier registrants are placed first until the class is full. |
Two qualified students from the same school both want the class. The student who registered earlier receives the available seat. |
