Entrepreneurship & Self-Employment
The Entrepreneurship / Self-Employment pathway prepares students to turn ideas into viable businesses and independent career opportunities. Students learn how entrepreneurs identify needs, create solutions, and manage the responsibilities of owning and operating a business.
Instruction focuses on business fundamentals such as idea development, marketing, budgeting, customer service, and basic financial management. Students also build problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills while learning how to adapt, take initiative, and make informed decisions in real-world business environments.
This pathway supports preparation for careers in entrepreneurship, freelancing, small business ownership, and business management. It also provides a strong foundation for college programs in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, or economics. Students may have opportunities to prepare for business or entrepreneurship-related certifications that support career readiness and future success.
