Public
Safety
The Public Safety pathway prepares students to explore careers dedicated to protecting people, property, and communities. Students gain an understanding of how public safety professionals work together across law enforcement, emergency services, and community response systems to maintain safety and order.
Instruction focuses on public safety fundamentals, emergency response awareness, communication skills, ethical decision-making, and teamwork. Students learn about laws, procedures, and safety protocols while developing responsibility, leadership, and problem-solving skills essential in public service roles.
This pathway supports preparation for careers in law enforcement, emergency services, corrections, and related public safety fields. It also provides a strong foundation for college programs in criminal justice, public administration, or public safety studies. Students may have opportunities to prepare for public safety or emergency-response–related certifications that strengthen career readiness.
