Production & Managerial Arts: Drone Technology
The Drone Technology pathway introduces students to the operation and application of unmanned aerial systems across a variety of industries. Students learn how drones are used for photography, mapping, inspection, and data collection while developing an understanding of safety, regulations, and responsible operation.
Instruction focuses on drone flight skills, aviation safety, airspace awareness, and aerial imaging techniques. Students gain hands-on experience planning and conducting flight missions while learning how drone technology is applied in real-world professional settings.
This pathway supports preparation for careers in drone operations, aerial photography, surveying, and technology-based fields, as well as continued education in aviation or engineering programs. Students may also have opportunities to prepare for industry-recognized drone or aviation-related certifications.
