Engineering Design
The Engineering Design pathway introduces students to engineering concepts and structured problem-solving used across technical and engineering fields. Students learn how engineers identify challenges, develop solutions, and refine designs through hands-on projects and real-world applications.
Instruction focuses on the engineering design process, technical drawing, 3D modeling, prototyping, and testing. Students build critical thinking, collaboration, and analytical skills while learning to use tools and software commonly found in engineering and design careers.
This pathway supports preparation for careers in engineering, design, and technology-related fields and provides a strong foundation for college programs in engineering, architecture, or applied sciences. Students may also have opportunities to prepare for engineering or design software certifications that support postsecondary success.
