The Game Art and Design pathway introduces students to the creative and technical skills used to design visual elements for video games and interactive media. Students learn how artwork, storytelling, and user experience come together to create engaging digital environments and characters.
Instruction focuses on digital illustration, character and environment design, animation fundamentals, and basic game design concepts. Students develop creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities while learning how design choices impact gameplay and user experience.
This pathway supports preparation for careers in game design, digital art, animation, and interactive media, and provides a strong foundation for college programs in game art, digital media, or visual design. Students may also have opportunities to prepare for industry-recognized digital art or design software certifications that support career readiness.
