System Diagnostics, Service & Repair

The System Diagnostics, Service, and Repair pathway prepares students to identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electronic systems used in modern vehicles. Students learn how automotive systems work together and how technicians use tools and technology to troubleshoot problems accurately and efficiently.

Instruction focuses on diagnostic procedures, engine and electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and repair techniques. Students gain hands-on experience using industry-standard diagnostic equipment while developing problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and professional shop practices.

This pathway supports preparation for careers as automotive technicians and provides a strong foundation for continued education or certification in automotive technology fields. Students may also have opportunities to prepare for industry-recognized automotive certifications that support career readiness and postsecondary success.
